KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) — Building renovations at a residence hall will force some University of Nebraska at Kearney students to share their dorm spaces with extra roommates.
Associate director of residence life Gail Sims says the project at Centennial Towers West means it can’t house any students this school year, and that means the nearly 400 students who would fill it will be sharing dorm rooms elsewhere.
For example, Martin Hall has 57 rooms and it will be taking overflow of 35 female and 23 male students.
No single rooms are available.
An estimated 2,000 students will live on campus this fall.
