LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says Nebraska’s bullfrog season opens Aug. 15 and runs through Oct. 31.

Bullfrogs may be taken by hand, hand net or hook and line.

The commission says the bag limit is eight frogs per person. The frogs must measure 4½ inches from snout to vent or be released.

Lights may be used to catch them.

A valid Nebraska fishing permit is required to take bullfrogs.
