North Platte Neb– What began as a normal night at the bar for two at Brother’s Bar in North Platte turned theft and arrest.
At 10PM August 8th an officer from the North Platte Police Department responded to a call of a stolen vehicle at Brother’s Bar. The victim alleged his acquaintance 26 year old Shane Fisher stole his 1999 Chevy Silverado, Fisher may have decided to take the vehicle for a ride.
The officer found Fisher somewhere near his home in the 400 block of North Bare. Fisher was indeed operating the Chevy pickup.
There was probable cause to believe Fisher was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol thus receiving a field sobriety test. While undergoing the test Fisher made an attempt to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended, restrained, and brought to the Lincoln County Detention Center where he was booked for DUI 4th Offense, Resisting Arrest, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Driving Under Revocation (15 Year Revocation), refusal to Submit to a Preliminary Breath Test, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
