Deborah L. Simants, age 48, of North Platte, passed away August 19, 2012 at her home. Deb was born August 3, 1964 in North Platte to Julio Candy and Mary G. (Gutierrez) Silos. She grew up in North Platte and attended North Platte High School, then married David Simants. Deb worked at the 6th Street Deli for many years and was also employed at the North Platte Country Club. She was an excellent cook who loved music, dancing, movies and shopping. She was an excellent decorator and housekeeper. She loved her family very much, especially her nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren, treating them all as her own.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Silos of North Platte; daughter, Amber (fiancé, Anthony McIntosh) Silos of North Platte; fiancé, Randy Mills of North Platte; siblings, Marlene (Steve) Watkins of Aurora, CO, Sandy Lee of North Carolina, Julie Silos of Steamboat Springs, CO, Freda (Michael) Silos, Sebastian Silos, Michael Silos, Tony Hornelas all of North Platte, Tommy Gutierrez of Oklahoma, Carmen (Baldamero) Castillo of Dallas, TX, Adam (Deb) Silos of North Platte, and Candy Silos III of North Platte; grandchildren, Tre’sha McIntosh and Elijah McIntosh both of North Platte; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Silos; nephew, Anthony Hornelas; grandparents, Atanacio and Antonia Gutierrez and Candelario and Florencia Silos; In-laws, Priscilla and Jack Lovelace; siblings, Ismael Fred Hornelas and Sarah Silos.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Major Jason Poff officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Sutherland. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
