Cubs starter Chris Volstad hadn’t won in any of his last 24 starts, but the Rockies made him look like a Cy Young candidate, mustering just three hits against him and four on the afternoon. Rockies starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin took the hard-luck loss in his second start since coming off the DL, pitching five innings and allowing just one run while fanning three.
