Crews from North Platte Fire Department are fighting a fire just south of North Platte near Wellfleet/Maywood area.

Four trucks from the NPFD were sent to aid the fires as well as crews from surrounding areas.

Today’s high near 100 and high winds makes it easy for a fire to start up. More information will be available as it comes.
