Last Friday Chadron State College held a ground breaking ceremony for the new complex that will be home to the schools agriculture and wildlife programs.
The colleges Rangeland Complex uses 39,000-square-feet that holds new classrooms, labs, offices and an indoor arena aimed to be used for rodeos and handling large animals. The complex sits on a large hill overlooking the campus.
Vice President of Chadron State College says the academic building is phase two of the $4million dollar project.
The new Rangeland Center was a major part of the Chadron State Foundation’s “Vision 2011” fundraising campaign where the college raised nearly $2 million.
