The threat of the West Nile Virus is all too real. In Nebraska according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website as of September 4th a total of 29 cases have been reported.
In Lincoln County as of September 11th a total of 10 cases have been reported with six cases requiring hospitalization at one point and four with-out hospitalization. Lincoln County cases have affected people aging from 16 to 70 years.
You may have never had West Nile Virus but be warned it’s far too easy to get and the risk is too high.
