The third-ranked Husker volleyball team dropped their Big Ten Conference opener to fourth-ranked Penn State in four hard-fought sets last night in State College. Nebraska won the opening set 25-23 but then lost the next three 26-28, 17-25, 24-26. Three Huskers reached double-figures in kills, led by Gina Mancuso’s 12, but the Huskers hit just .209 on the night, while the Nittany Lions hit .315 as a team. Nebraska will try and snap a two-match losing skid at Ohio State on Saturday.
