(North Platte, Neb.)- A 27-year old Maine man is jailed in Lincoln County, after troopers arrested him for driving with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .453, nearly six times the legal limit.
Just before 5:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, Communication Specialists with Troop D- North Platte received several calls from motorists alerting them to a white Toyota Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), traveling eastbound on Interstate 80. The callers indicated the vehicle was all over the roadway and driving at erratic speeds.
A short time later, Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) troopers stopped a vehicle matching the description on eastbound I-80, three miles west of the Brady Interchange. The driver, Andrew R. Wiggin, 27, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving Under Suspension (DUS). Wiggin was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.
