Wallace Bank Robbery Case Bound Over To Dist Court

The case of the 19-year-old accused attempted bank robber, Drew Steier of Evanston, Wyoming, was bound over to Lincoln County District Court on September 21st according to District Court documents.

Steier appeared for his contested preliminary hearing September 20th, in front of Judge Kent Turnbull in Lincoln County Court where Steier’s “Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony” (Class C Felony) charge was dropped, the “Class II Robbery” charge was lowered to “Class III Robbery” and Steier’s bond was lowered from $500,000 to $125,000.

Steier is accused of attempted bank robbery from when he allegedly entered the Wallace branch of Farmers State Bank on August 13th, wearing a black ski-mask demanding money from a teller armed with a gun.

The next court date has not yet been scheduled.
