When Huskers head coach Bo Pelini spoke to the media after his team’s practice yesterday evening, he sounded resigned to the absence of senior running back Rex Burkhead for Saturday’s game against Michigan. Burkhead sat out practice for the fourth straight day, limited by a left knee injury. Pelini says he remains confident in his running game even without his star. The 20th ranked Wolverines rank second in the Big Ten in total defense but are seventh in the conference against the run. Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is scheduled for 7 PM.
