The North Platte Community College Knights opened their 2012-2013 season with a 68-51 victory over the Hastings College JV at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium. Tim Simmons led three Knights in double figures with 17 points. Ethan Montalvo and Damon Brown added 11 points apiece. The Knights never trailed and led by as many as 19 points in the win. Next up for North Platte is a trip to Garden City, Kansas for the Pepsi Classic this Friday and Saturday.
