Tom Osborne is the 2012 recipient of the Walter Camp Football Foundation “Distinguished American” Award. The award, given out since 1978, is presented each year to an individual who has utilized his talents to attain great success in business, private life or public service. Osborne joins a list of winners that includes coaches, players, broadcasters, and even entertainers. Osborne will step aside as Nebraska’s athletic director on January 1.
