Bernice Bebee, 85, of Cozad, passed away Nov. 11, 2012, at the Golden Living Care Center in Cozad.
Bernice was born on April 10, 1927, at Sparta, Wis., to Hayward and Lizzie (Williams) Garvis. She attended rural school at Sparta.
On April 15, 1945, she married Henry “Mike” Bebee at Sparta, Wis. The couple made their home in Wisconsin until 1952, when they moved to Cozad. Their union was blessed with five sons, Don, David, Duane, Doug and Michael.
While in Cozad, Bernice worked at Evans Bakery, the Cozad Hospital, Walker’s Motel and eventually Monroe Auto, where she retired after nearly 15 years. Bernice and Mike traveled regularly during their retirement, often spending winters in Arizona.
Bernice enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Bingo and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her five sons, Don Bebee, of Grand Island, David (Karen) Bebee, of Union City, Calif., Duane (Lori) Bebee Sr., of Grand Island, Doug (Patricia) Bebee, of Liberty, Mo., Michael (Debbie) Bebee, of Glendale, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Pastor Duane Bebee Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
