Cozad Bakery & Vehicles Broken Into, Robbed Overnight

A bakery and at least twelve cars were robbed overnight by an unknown number of individuals in the town of Cozad.

The bakery named “Sweets N More” at, 132 W 7th St, was ransacked and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police chief of the Cozad Police Department, Randy Adams, evidence was found at the scene and has been sent to the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab in Lincoln.  There’s currently no estimate of the total expense in damages caused at the bakery.

Adams said twelve vehicles in the area were broken into on the same night. The vehicles were unlocked and small amounts of money, as well as small items like clothing, were taken from the vehicles, nothing of great monetary value.

The exact time of the crimes are undetermined but Adams believes they occurred between midnight and five on Tuesday morning.
