Tri-City Storm captain Brian Ward made his college choice official yesterday, committing to St. Lawrence College, a Division I hockey school in Canton, New York. Ward is in his third season with the Storm. He ranks among the team’s leading scorers with 10 goals and nine assists in 18 games this season but has missed the team’s last six games with an injury. A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Ward had previously played at Dartmouth before leaving the school and returning to the junior level. The Storm host the Waterloo Black Hawks this Friday and Saturday night in Kearney.
