The Denver Nuggets survived a late comeback attempt to defeat the San Antonio Spurs 112-106 at Pepsi Center. Denver led by as many as 16 points in the second half before the Spurs trimmed it to three late, but a flurry of late shots missed and the Nuggets were able to hang on. Danilo Gallinari’s 28 points led the Nuggets offensively. Kenneth Faried had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. The Nuggets have now won three straight and are 14-12 overall. They’re at Portland Thursday night.
