Three people escaped without injury from a fire that damaged a house in the northeast Nebraska city of Norfolk.
Authorities say the blaze was reported just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters say flames in the ceiling above the kitchen spread to an outside wall and ultimately reached the roof. Damage is estimated at $45,000 to the structure, $5,000 to the contents.
One firefighter was injured when he slipped and fell on ice.
An electrical problem is suspected, but the fire investigation is continuing.
