The 25th-ranked Husker women’s basketball team opened Big Ten play in style with a 70-52 win over Wisconsin at the Devaney Center last night. The hot-shooting Huskers hit 12 three-pointers on the night, including five from Lindsey Moore, who led the offensive effort with 26 points. Jordan Hooper chipped in 14 points, and Emily Cady contributed a double-double, with 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Nebraska went on a 13-4 run in the late stages of the first half to take a nine-point lead into the locker room. They then went on an 8-2 run midway through the second half to hold off a Badger rally and take a double-digit lead that would never dip into single digits again. The Huskers move to 11-3 with the victory. They host fourteenth-ranked Purdue on Saturday afternoon, in a game that will be nationally televised on CBS.
