On 1/3/13 at 10:20 AM officers responded to the 900 block of west 6^th in regards to a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival officers met with the female adult victim and adult witness.

The victim had injuries and the investigation determined that Jeremy Tobey was suspected of causing the injury to the victim who was his live-in girlfriend.  Jeremy was incarcerated for felony 3^rd degree domestic assault as he had a prior conviction of the same offense.  While speaking with the victim it was also determined that a prior incident of domestic violence had occurred on 1/1/13.

It was reported that Jeremy had grabbed the victim around the throat until she reportedly blacked out.  It was reported that Jeremy had than pulled a knife out and threatened to cause injury to the victim. Jeremy was also charged with another count of felony 3^rd degree domestic assault as well as terroristic threats and strangulation.
