Authorities say the fatal shooting of a man in western Nebraska was an accident.
Sidney radio station KSID reports that 28-year-old Donald Vizina was at a friend’s house in the southern Panhandle city of Sidney on Sunday evening. The friend told police that Vizina was handling a gun when it went off and the bullet struck Vizina.
Cheyenne County Attorney Paul Schaub says Vizina’s fatal head wound was self-inflicted and accidental — not a suicide.
