The Husker men’s basketball team goes for a second straight Big Ten conference victory tonight as they travel to the Twin Cities to take on the 23rd-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers. Nebraska is coming off their second conference win of the season, a 64-49 defeat of Northwestern in Lincoln on Saturday. Minnesota has tumbled down the AP Top 25 poll in recent weeks. After reaching as high as the eighth spot, they’ve hit a major pothole in Big Ten play and have lost four straight games, including a one-point loss at Wisconsin on Saturday. The Huskers have seen improvement offensively in recent games, averaging close to 60 points per game in their last four. On the flipside, the Gophers have struggled to score, having been held under 50 points in their last two games. Tipoff tonight at Williams Arena is scheduled for 8:06.
