The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting a marijuana debate between a prominent activist who supports legalization and a former federal drug-enforcement agent.
Steve Hager, the former editor-in-chief of High Times Magazine, will square off against former Drug Enforcement Agency special agent Bob Stutman. Student questions will drive the debate.
Stutman, who spent 25 years investigating drug cases, has appeared on hundreds of television shows, including “Today” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Hager is a former New York Daily News reporter who served as the editor of High Times Magazine for more than 16 years.
The debate is free to UNL students with a valid student identification card and $5 for all others. It’s scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the Nebraska Union’s Centennial Room.
