The Husker women’s basketball team hopes to end the first half of the Big Ten conference schedule on a high note. They visit Columbus to face the struggling Ohio State Buckeyes tonight, their first game in a week. The Huskers are coming off back-to-back conference wins, topping Minnesota and then-ranked Michigan State last week, and are over the .500 mark in the league with a 4-3 record. They are 14-6 overall. The Buckeyes are just 11-9 and 1-6 in Big Ten play, with injuries having derailed a promising season. Two of the top scorers in the Big Ten face off tonight – Nebraska’s Jordan Hooper and Ohio State’s Tayler Hill, who leads the league in points per game. The Huskers are 4-4 all time against the Buckeyes but 1-3 in Columbus, with their last win there coming in 1990. Tipoff of tonight’s game is scheduled for 7:30.
