North Platte High School (NPHS) football standout, Luke Wright, has signed to play football for the Fort Hays State Tigers.  Today was National Signing Day for prospective collegiate athletes.

Wright was a 4-year letter winner at NPHS and finished up his high school career as a 2-time All-Conference Team selection, 2-time All-Area Team selection and an All-State honorable mention.  Wright was not only a star on the football field, but also in the classroom, racking up three selections to the Academic All-State Team and two selections to the Academic All-Conference team.  Additionally, Wright is a member of the National Honor Society and served as a NPHS Student Council officer for four years.

Fort Hays State is located in Hays, Kansas, which is approximately 216 miles south of North Platte.  The Tigers are a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
