Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton was arrested early Wednesday morning blocks from his Thornton, Colorado home on suspicion of driving under the influence and careless driving. The 39 year-old was stopped at a gas station at 2:39 AM, and cooperated fully with the arresting officers, according to the police report. In a statement, Helton said he ‘exercised poor judgment’ and says he’s ‘very sorry and embarrassed’ by his actions.
