Two brothers are in some hot water after a Trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol finds in excess of 10 pounds of weed in their vehicle.
Andrew Morris, 27, of Denver, and Charles Morris,29, of Chicago, were driving on Interstate 80 near Paxton on Friday morning when they lost control of their Chevy Tahoe and went into the ditch. They attempted to continue to drive the vehicle after the accident, but eventually sought help.
The responding Trooper smelled the odor of marijuana upon approaching the vehicle. After the Tahoe was extracted from the ditch, a search was conducted, and just over 10 pounds of pot was found in the cargo area of the vehicle.
Troopers placed the duo under arrest and booked them into the Lincoln County Detention Center on charges of Possession of Marijuana-More Than 1 lb, and Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Deliver.
Both charges are felonies and are punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
