It’s now nine wins in a row for the Husker women’s basketball team. The 24th-ranked Huskers powered past Iowa 66-46 at the Devaney Center yesterday afternoon. Nebraska led most of the way and outscored the Hawkeyes 28-10 over the final 13 minutes and 20 seconds to put the game on ice. Freshman guard Rachel Theriot led the way for the Big Red with a career high 19 points. Jordan Hooper and Lindsay Moore joined Theriot in double figures, each scoring 10 points. Moore stuffed the stat sheet in other departments as well, chipping in eight assists and seven rebounds. The Huskers are now 21-6 overall and 11-3 in the Big Ten. They wrap up the road portion of their Big Ten regular season schedule Thursday night, when they trek to Madison to face Wisconsin.
