The starting pitching for the Colorado Rockies has looked sharp early this spring. Juan Nicasio and Jeff Francis combined for five shutout innings as the Rockies defeated the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 in Cactus League play yesterday. The Rockies got some nifty defense as well, as third baseman Nolan Arenado, second baseman Eric Young and first baseman Henry Wrigley combined to turn a 5-4-3 triple play. Arenado and DJ LeMahieu had RBI for the Rockies offensively. The Rockies take on the Milwaukee Brewers this afternoon.
