Lincoln Man Charged with Theft After His Employer Finds Stolen Merchandise at Swap Meet

swap-meetPolice say a hardware store owner has found merchandise at a Lincoln swap meet that was stolen from his store, and one of his workers has been charged with theft.

36-year-old Eric Supencheck has been arrested. He’s charged with felony theft.

Authorities say the store owner spotted Supencheck manning a sales table at the Lancaster Event Center during a car swap meet. The owner told police the items looked like goods from his store, including chain saws, chain hooks, oil, harnesses, lifting straps and rope. An arrest affidavit says officers later found more merchandise at Supencheck’s Lincoln home.

Supencheck has bonded out of jail. He didn’t immediately return a call Wednesday from The Associated Press. Online court records don’t list his attorney’s name.
