It turns out that we may keep getting mail on Saturdays, at least for awhile.
On Wednesday the House passed a spending measure to keep the government running through September and it requires that the Postal Service keep delivering mail on Saturdays — at least through the end of the year.
The Postal Service was hoping to cut back to a five-day delivery schedule to cut about $2 billion in costs a year.
The measure now goes to the Senate.
