Mary ‘Luella’ Schultz, age 86, of Sutherland, formerly of North Platte, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Sutherland Care Center. She was born October 15, 1926 to William Vangie and Mary Henrietta (Greeley) Reeves. She grew up in North Platte. On October 15, 1942 she married Harvey James Schultz in North Platte. The couple lived on the Pawnee Springs Ranch and several other ranches before moving to North Platte. Luella was a member of the Lighthouse Foursquare Church, the Women’s Group of the church, and she was a First Grade Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
She enjoyed fishing, walking, collecting rocks and spending time with the family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Joan (Frank) Bonta of North Platte; three sons, James (Ginger) Schultz of Lake McConaughy, NE., Terry Schultz of North Platte, and Jack (Deb) Schultz of North Platte; two brothers, Harold (Lois) Reeves of North Platte and Merle Reeves of North Platte; a sister Deloris (Joe) Carpenter of Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Karen; a great-grandson Christopher; and three sisters Vickie Anderson, Violet Krovas, and LaVonne Spurgin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday March 13, 2013 at the Lighthouse Foursquare Church with the Reverends David Holland and Duane Dunwoody officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today and Sunday from noon to 6:00 PM, and Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
