It’s not too far fetched to think about the possibility of postseason play for the Husker men’s basketball team. Nebraska is 14-17 on the season entering the first round of the Big Ten tournament. A win or two in the conference tourney might convince a lower-tier postseason tournament, such as the NIT or CBI, to take a look at the Huskers. Nebraska executive associate athletic director Marc Boehm says he’s had preliminary discussions with head coach Tim Miles about the possibility, and also has spoken to a rep from the NIT. Neither tournament has a rule against taking teams with below-.500 records.
