The Denver Broncos made headlines on day two of the NFL’s free agency period by inking one of the most prolific wide recievers in the game. Wes Welker is the newest target for Peyton Manning. The 31 year-old agreed to a two-year deal worth $12 million. Welker caught 118 passes in New England last season and averaged 112 receptions per year in his six seasons as a Patriot. He joins Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker in Denver’s now-loaded receiving corps. The Broncos did some other business as well, bolstering their front seven by signing defensive tackle Terrence Knighton and linebacker Stewart Bradley. Knighton, nicknamed ‘Pot Roast’, reunites with his former head coach, Jack Del Rio, who had Knighton in Jacksonville. Bradley, a former Husker and a 2008 All-Pro, is looking for opportunities after being a reserve for most of the last two years in Arizona.
