A North Platte man was arrested and charged with assault for punching a juvenile.

Officers responded to the 700 block of West Walker Road on March 19 after they received a report of an assault.

North Platte Police charged 48-year-old Kent Lower with assault for allegedly striking a juvenile male in the face during an argument.

Lower has been charged with felony child abuse.  His bond was set at $10,000.
