A pedestrian has been fatally injured in a Scottsbluff accident.

The accident occurred a little after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police Capt. Brian Wasson says the man was crossing Avenue I just north of West Overland when he stumbled, fell and was struck by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scotts Bluff County Attorney Doug Warner told the station that there were several witnesses. Warner and Wasson both say the woman driving the car was not at fault.

The dead man has not been identified.
