Not only did the Husker baseball team score their two biggest wins of the season in a double-header sweep of 10th-ranked Arkansas, they made a little history in the process. Kyle Kubat, Tyler Niederklein and Dylan Vogt combined for the eighth no-hitter in program history as the Huskers topped the Razorbacks 3-0 in the opener in Lincoln. Kubat worked the first five innings in his first outing of the season. It was Nebraska’s first no-no since they completed the feat against Peru State back in 1993, and first against a Division I opponent since 1982. In the nightcap, Blake Headley’s pinch-hit homer kicked off a three-run eighth inning that led the Huskers to a 4-2 triumph. The Huskers move to 16-19 on the season with the victories. They travel to West Lafayette to take on Purdue in a three-game set this weekend.
