Huskers Lose Thramer For Season

The Husker volleyball team has lost one of its most experienced players to injury. Senior middle blocker Hayley Thramer, a two-year starter, tore the ACL in her right knee in the team’s spring exhibition match against Wichita State last Saturday. It is a season-ending and career-ending injury for Thramer, who was second in the Big Ten in blocks per set last season.

Statement from Head Coach John Cook on Hayley Thramer

“We found out last night that Nebraska volleyball had its heart ripped out with the news of Hayley Thramer suffering a career-ending knee injury. It’s a sad day but we know Hayley will have the support of Husker nation. She is on track to graduate and as a leader on our team she will remain a vital part of our program and will be a great representation of Nebraska volleyball in 2013.”
