The Nebraska baseball team (19-22, 11-4 Big Ten) took a 3-2 lead into the eighth inning against the No. 24 Oklahoma State Cowboys in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday at TD Ameritrade Park, but was unable to hold the lead, as the Cowboys came back to win, 5-3, in 10 innings.
It was the Huskers’ 12th loss this season by two runs or less.
The Huskers had the go-ahead run at third base with two outs in the bottom of the eighth and ninth innings, but were unable to come through with a clutch hit.
After pushing the game to extra innings, OSU scored two runs in the top of the tenth on four hits, including a pair of doubles
