Deborah Lynn Evans, 60, of North Platte, NE, passed away at her home on May 6, 2013.
Deb was born August 13, 1952, at Sutherland, NE, to Donald Gene and Lillie May Walton Odean. She grew up in Hershey, NE and graduated from Hershey High School in 1970. She then married Robert Dean Evans in 1971 in North Platte and to this union three children were born. The family made their home in Sutherland and Hershey. Deb and Robert later divorced.
Deb worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Sutherland Care Center, Centennial Park Retirement Village and Linden Estates until her health declined and she had a double lung transplant in December 2009.
She loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Deb also enjoyed playing the lottery and scratch tickets. She also loved her music and hated football.
Survivors include her children, Angie (Jeremy) Sanford, of Hershey and Tina Crowell and Travis (Teresa) Evans, of North Platte; eight grandchildren, Jessi, Alyssa, Aaron, Joey, Kelsey, Bailee, Lainee and Logan; three great-grandchildren, Aden, Carly and Jordan; her brothers, Kim (Ellen) Odean, of Hershey and Don, Jr. (Gayle) Odean, of Redding, CA; two nephews, Cassidy (Brooke) Odean and Lucas (Alicia) Odean; and other family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Walton Willey; father, Don Odean, Sr.; and a nephew, Cyrus Odean.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery south of Sutherland. Condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore which is in charge of arrangements.
