Police say an elderly Lincoln woman who was hit by a car while riding her bike through a city intersection will probably will lose her injured foot.
Police Sgt. Craig Price says the 78-year-old woman was making a right turn on her bike late Friday afternoon when a car hit her. Price and a nurse who happened to be at the scene of the crash said the woman will likely have to have her injured foot amputated.
Police say the woman was taken to a Lincoln hospital in critical condition, but her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
