A southeast Nebraska man and his former wife have been accused of looting his mother’s accounts.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says that about $156,000 was taken from the 69-year-old woman between April 2011 and this past February.

Online court records say 45-year-old Brian Robinson, of Roca, and 39-year-old Carla Robinson, of Hickman, are charged with felony theft and abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Wagner says the Robinsons violated guidelines of a power of attorney granted by Brian Robinson’s mother.
