DeEtta I. Madron, 91, of Seneca, died May 11, 2013, at Broken Bow.
She was born on March 20, 1922, in Aurora, to D.B. and Mable (Reichardt) Pearson. She graduated from Anselmo High School in 1939. She received her normal teaching certificate and taught at several rural area schools.
She was united in marriage to Paul C. Madron on Oct. 23, 1947, and they lived on a ranch south of Seneca until her death.
She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Thedford. DeEtta enjoyed gardening and entering items at the county fair. Her passion was family history.
She was preceded in death by her parents, D.B. and Mable Pearson; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Pearson; her son, Rourke P. Madron; her daughter-in-law, Marlene; her granddaughter, Janae; and grandson, Rendle.
She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Madron, of Seneca; two daughters, Twila (Steve) Springer, of Thedford, and Connie (Jim) Pierson, of Cicero, N.Y.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bud (Donna) Pearson, of Milford.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Thedford with the Rev. Ron Masten officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time, Saturday, May 18, at the church. Mullen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
