(AP) — Weather officials say multiple tornadoes have been reported in south-central Nebraska.
The National Weather Service says multiple tornadoes touched the ground Wednesday afternoon in the counties of Clay, Hamilton and York.
The first tornado was reported shortly before 3 p.m. in a rural area just north of Clay Center. A second tornado was later reported near the city of York.
Meteorologist Mike Moritz says a preliminary report indicates the first tornado near Clay Center was on the ground for several minutes. Additional information about the other tornados was not immediately available.
