(AP) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died in a crash near Branched Oak Lake northwest of Lincoln.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched just after 11 p.m. Thursday. The crash occurred just south of the entrance to the lake area, which sits west of Raymond.

Officials say Jesse Osmon, of Alvo, lost control of his motorcycle. It ran off the road and struck a cable guardrail system.

Osmon was pronounced dead at the scene.
