NE Dove Hunters Sought for National Survey

Nebraska_game_and_parks(AP) — Some Nebraska dove hunters will be asked to participate in a national survey to help state and federal agencies make better-informed decisions.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says a random selection of hunters will receive the mail surveys this month. The survey will include questions about their experiences and opinions about dove hunting, including perceived constraints and thoughts about the potential effects of lead from hunting ammunition.

The survey is a joint effort by state fish and wildlife agencies, flyaway councils and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
