
A North Platte man is behind bars after he allegedly choked his girlfriend.
At around 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, North Platte Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1100 Block of N. Bryan.
Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim, a 21-year-old Kearney woman, who told them that her boyfriend, 22-year-old Michael Butler, had assaulted and choked her.
Following an investigation, police determined there was probable cause to arrest Butler.
He was charged with 3rd Degree Domestic Assault and jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
