(AP) — Police have identified two teenagers as the victims of a fatal weekend shooting in north Omaha.
Authorities say 18-year-old Brendon Ford and 17-year-old DMarco Pope were killed in the shooting shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. One of the teenagers was pronounced dead at the scene, and another died shortly after he arrived at a local hospital.
Police Chief Todd Schmaderer says authorities suspect the shooting was gang-related, but they don’t have any suspects in custody.
Authorities say the incident isn’t connected to a separate fatal shooting that took place Saturday in south Omaha. The Saturday incident left two people critically injured and three people dead, including the suspected gunman.
