
A scuffle between carnival workers resulted in an Indiana man getting free room and board at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
At around 12:45 p.m. on June 17, Officers with the North Platte Police responded to Great Plains Regional Medical Center on the report of a prior assault that occurred at the Wild West Arena.
Upon arrival, the 56-year-old male victim told police that 36-year-old Stephen Terrell had intentionally kicked him in the face causing him severe pain and serious injury.
The victim told Police that he and Terrell had both been working the Fun House at the carnival at the Arena when they became engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical.
Officers made contact with Terrell at the carnival, and following further investigation, they determined there was probable cause to arrest Terrell. He was charged with 1st Degree Assault and transported to the jail.
1st Degree Assault is a Class II Felony.
